Reliability

Adjustable connection and transaction timeout settings enhance performance. In the event of a network failure, automated recovery processes ensure seamless operations. A backup controller can also be defined to guarantee reliable

Automated Communications Failover.

Direct I/O, Memory, and Data Block Access

Absolute addressing syntax for Inputs, Outputs, Memory Bits, Variable Memory, Counters, Timers, and Data Blocks. Specify variable access with memory type, data width, address, and bit location.

For full list see Siemens Address Syntax

High Speed Performance

Parallel processing enables high-speed data throughput for Ethernet devices, achieving updates as fast as 15 milliseconds with automated packet optimization for multiple variables within each packet.
Up to 1,000,000 tags per server.

Data Accuracy

Data from each controller is processed on-site in a first-in, first-out (FIFO) manner. This approach ensures that all data received from the controller is preserved, rather than only the most recent value. Maintaining complete data accuracy is essential for all applications that depend on this information.

Common Use Cases

Logging Data to Databases or CSV Files

Use the OAS Data Historian to log data from Siemens S7 controllers into various databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and others. This logging can be triggered by changes in the data, specific events, or continuously. The system also supports logging high-speed buffered data from a controller. Learn more ..

Data Transfer

The Data Route feature facilitates the transfer of data to and from Siemens S7 controllers and various Industry 4.0 data sources. This data transfer can occur continuously or be triggered by specific events. Additionally, both Basic and Live Data Cloud Networking enhance this feature, allowing for seamless transfer over your local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), or the Internet. User Interface

Create Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for Siemens controller data using the cross-platform UIEngine without any coding required. The UIEngine features an extensive library of components that allow for drag-and-drop design, along with integrated support for Web Trend and Web Alarm products.

You can consider options such as WinForm HMI, WPF HMI, and Web HMI, as well as programmatic access through the .NET Data Connector and OAS REST API to seamlessly integrate Siemens data with your existing legacy applications. Learn more about the UIEngine
