Access Modbus Data Anywhere

The OAS Modbus Connector seamlessly interfaces with 1,000+ Modbus devices and applications per edge server, distinguishing itself as the market's fastest and most reliable Modbus driver. Take charge of your connectivity and maximize your potential with this leading-edge solution!

Key Features & Benefits

Extensive Device Support

All three Modbus protocols are supported on both Ethernet and Serial Port interfaces:

Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, and Modbus ASCII

Additionally, extended addressing and Enron protocol are also supported.

High Speed Performance

Communication update rates as fast as 15 milliseconds per packet. Packet optimization is automated and supports packets exceeding 125 words for specialized interfaces that can accommodate them. Drivers operate in parallel for maximum throughput.

Experience lightning-fast updates with support for up to 1,000,000 tags per server.

Communication Statistics & Polling

The communication statistics can be set to display live tag values or trigger an alarm to notify users of network failures.

Polling can be continuous at an adjustable rate or event-based to minimize network load on radio modems and remote solar-powered devices.

Reliability

Adjustable connection and transaction timeout settings enhance performance. In the event of a network failure, automated recovery processes ensure seamless operations. A backup controller can also be defined to guarantee reliable Automated Communications Failover.

Data Accuracy

Data from each controller is processed on-site in a first-in, first-out (FIFO) manner. This approach ensures that all data received from the controller is preserved, rather than only the most recent value. Maintaining complete data accuracy is essential for all applications that depend on this information.

Common Use Cases

Log Modbus Data to Databases and CSV Files

Use the OAS Data Historian to log data from Modbus devices and applications into various databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and others. This logging can be triggered by changes in the data, specific events, or continuously. The system also supports logging high-speed buffered data from a controller. Learn more ..

Transfer Modbus Data

Transfer of data to and from Modbus devices and various Industry 4.0 data sources using the Data Route feature.. This data transfer can occur continuously or be triggered by specific events. Additionally, both Basic and Live Data Cloud Networking enhance this feature, allowing for seamless transfer over your local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), or the Internet. Modbus User Interface

Create Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for Modbus data using the cross-platform UIEngine, requiring no coding. The UIEngine features an extensive library of components that allow for drag-and-drop design, along with integrated support for Web Trend and Web Alarm products.

You can consider options such as WinForm HMI, WPF HMI, and Web HMI, as well as programmatic access through the .NET Data Connector and OAS REST API to seamlessly integrate Modbus data with your existing legacy applications. Learn more about the UIEngine
